Alison brings 30 years of expertise in interpretive planning and content development for museums and cultural sector projects. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of narrative environment design, community engagement, and interactive/immersive learning. Alison’s career has been dedicated to creating meaningful, narrative-led experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.

Alison is an expert in community engagement, ensuring that the voices and perspectives of local communities and stakeholders are integral to the projects she leads. She excels in Narrative Environment Design, helping to pioneer the MA course at UAL Central St Martin’s, and working closely with designers and stakeholders to craft immersive spaces that tell compelling stories. Her experience in educational programming and content production further enriches the cultural projects she develops, making them accessible and impactful for a wide range of audiences.

Throughout her career, Alison has worked alongside designers, artists, and performers to bring original, narrative-driven experiences to life. Her collaborative approach ensures that every project is tailored to the specific needs of the audience and the unique characteristics of the space. Alison’s leadership is marked by her ability to guide complex projects from concept to completion, always with a focus on storytelling and audience engagement.

Current Work:

As a co-founder of This Great Adventure (TGA), Alison is currently leading the development of innovative projects that explore the intersection of art, culture, and technology. She is particularly involved in the OPUS - The Next Stage project, where she works with artists and performers to adapt and develop new types of performances for emerging technologies like augmented reality and volumetric video. Alison’s work at TGA continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cultural storytelling, creating new opportunities for engagement and expression.
