Client: Oman Botanic Garden // Chargeurs Museum Studio

Partners: 18a Productions, Daniel Wichett, Four Door Productions

The Oman Botanic Garden (OBG), set to be one of the world’s most extensive botanical gardens located outside Muscat, Oman, is currently collaborating with This Great Adventure (TGA) to develop a state-of-the-art, visitor facing interactive mobile application a.k.a. the Digital Companion. This partnership aims to enhance the educational and visitor experience through innovative technology tailored to the evolving needs of the garden.

As the garden's construction progresses, TGA is navigating the exciting challenges of integrating botanical data and cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) features into the app. This collaborative effort involves ongoing interactions with OBG’s team of botanists and researchers to ensure the app’s content is scientifically accurate and engaging for all visitors.

This project exemplifies a dynamic approach to environmental education, emphasizing adaptive, user-centered application development in response to the evolving project landscape and visitor feedback. The final product aims to set new standards in interactive visitor engagement within botanical gardens worldwide.
