// Tracking the Changing City

Project: KXplore at King’s Cross

With Argent LLP and C-I

Revealing the heritage of King’s Cross the changing city

Start: Argent are property developers leading the massive redevelopment transformation around London’s King’s Cross. How could they record the heritage of a rapidly changing area whilst sharing their vision for the future?

Working with local historian, Alan Dein, to record mini documentaries

Journey: The most accessible story of King’s Cross is not about architecture or industry, It’s about people - past, present and future. Ice traders, butchers, clowns, authors, farmers, gas workers, railwaymen, barge families, poets, office clerks, students, gangsters and more. Their stories came from museums and archives, novels and newspapers, historians and local residents. Our digital walking trail guides visitors around the site and through this jostling crowd of history.
